This intriguing whiskey, released exclusively for travel retail, is a marriage of 15YO Ex Bourbon 1st fill and 15YO Ex Bourbon 2nd fill American oak casks.
The 1st fill casks offer the distinct aromas and flavours associated with the bourbon that has rested previously in the cask mingled with the smooth fruity character that is Bushmills.
The 2nd fill offers more of the distinct Bushmills character and the natural flavours from the American oak mingled with the devils cut of Bushmills and Bourbon from its previous use.
Tasting Notes:
Toasted oak, warm caramel, vanilla mingled with subtle hints of hazelnut.A marriage of clove, toffee apple, honeyed vanilla, crisp green apple and sweet apricot.Warm smooth finish of lightly toasted oak, roasted nuts, cinnamon, and clove with lingering sweet vanilla.
